Terms of Use

Effective [DATE] · Version 0.1

Draft for legal review. Have a lawyer check these terms against Indian contract, consumer-protection and IT law, the App Store and Google Play rules, and UK consumer law before launch, and fill in the bracketed details.

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("Herelo"). By creating an account you accept them and our privacy policy.

2. Who can use Herelo

3. How you'll behave

You agree not to:

We may remove content, pause or close accounts that break these rules, and report illegal activity to the police.

4. Meeting in person

Herelo helps you meet people, but we don't run criminal background checks, and verification confirms only that a person matches their photos. Meet in public, tell a friend where you'll be, and report anything that worries you in the app. You're responsible for your own interactions with other users.

5. Location features

Venue check-in, crossed paths and travel mode work only if you turn them on. They show other people a venue, an area name or a city, never your exact location. You can turn each one off at any time.

6. Paid features

7. Your content

Your photos, prompts and messages stay yours. You give Herelo a licence to store, show and process them only to run the service. When you delete them, we stop showing them; copies held in backups are erased within 30 days.

8. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Herelo safe and running, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Herelo isn't liable for indirect losses, or for losses above the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk, and will tell you why unless doing so would put someone at risk or break the law.

10. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of [Gurugram, Haryana] have jurisdiction, without taking away any rights you have under your own country's consumer law. For complaints, contact our Grievance Officer at [grievance@herelo.app].
